Baby’s Best Chance Program

To provide education, information and connections for women who need extra support during pregnancy, birth and the early stages of parenting.

We offer:

•  Resource Dietitian
•  Public Health Nurse Support
•  Free prenatal vitamins and supplements
•  Weekly food vouchers for Save-On Foods
•  Weekly prenatal drop-in group
•  Weekly postnatal drop-in group
•  Support with lifestyle changes, if families need help

Our goals in the Baby's Best Chance Program are:

•  Infants with healthy birth weights
•  Participants who have knowledge of healthy infant feeding
•  Improved nutrition for participants
•  Improved physical and mental health for participants through the support of staff and other parents in the program
•  Improved knowledge of normal infant developmental milestones/stages
•  Improved knowledge of support services in the community

The Early Years Centre at CR Family Services also offers continuing services for parents after babies are born, including 'Creating Healthy Families', family play group, Family Links group, parenting courses and support and a Family Navigator to help families navigate services.
