Clinics occur every other month from 10:10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The Public Health Nurse for the area comes to the Community Centre. This gives parents a chance to talk about the health of their new baby and to have baby vaccinated if you so choose. Phone the Health Unit at 250-850-2110 for an appointment. Come to Room 1 using the south entrance. An opportunity to talk with a Public Health Nurse about your baby and to have vaccinations done.

This program is for pregnant moms. At the weekly sessions there is lunch, information about pregnancy childbirth, and babies, and a chance to meet with other moms. Provide participants with vitamins and supplements. There is a nurse and a dietician on staff to answer questions. The Outreach Worker can help with rides to appointments. Also offer one-to-one support.

This program offers moms with new babies an opportunity to get out and interact with others in the same situation in a weekly group session. This group offers lunch and valuable information about babies and the postpartum period. This group is held on the same day as the prenatal group so that mom’s can share their experience and show off their new babies to the friends that were made in the prenatal group. One to one support is available.

Breast/chest-feeding and formula feeding support for families with new babies. Public Health Nurses are available to help families work through any questions or concerns as they navigate feeding their new infant. This support is available in person by booked appointment, by telephone or by virtual visit. The clinic is held Wednesdays from 9:00 to 12:00.
